Matchia Community Guidelines

At Matchia, we’re here to help people form real, meaningful connections—with the help of our AI matchmaker, Mia. To keep our community safe, respectful, and inclusive, we ask all members to follow these guidelines. Your behavior both on and off the app matters, and we hold users accountable to ensure everyone feels welcome.

Profile Guidelines

Age

You must be 18 or older to use Matchia. Creating a fake underage profile or misrepresenting your age is prohibited. We may ask for ID to verify your age.

Photos

Matchia is about real people and real connections.
We require at least one clear photo of you, showing your face. We do not allow:

• Photos of children alone or unclothed

• Memes or text-only images as profile photos

• Overly edited or AI-generated images that distort your identity

  
  

Names

You can use your first name, a nickname, or initials—whatever you’re called in real life.
We do not allow:

• Fake or impersonated names (celebs, fictional characters, etc.)

• Emojis, symbols (like @, $, !), or numbers in names

• Offensive or inappropriate language

Content & Conduct Guidelines

Nudity & Sexual Content

No nude, explicit, or sexual content is allowed on profiles or in messages. Matchia is not a platform for adult content or commercial sexual services.

Harassment & Abuse

Kindness is key.
We do not allow:

• Bullying, insults, intimidation, or belittling comments

• Blackmail, manipulation, or coercion

• Repeated unwanted contact or any form of emotional abuse

  
  

Hate Speech

Hate has no place here.
Any content or behavior targeting people based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or other protected identities is strictly prohibited.

Scams & Fraud

If you're here to scam, lie, or steal—you're not welcome.

We ban:

• Romance scams

• Requests for money or financial support

• False claims about your intentions or identity

Impersonation & Fake Profiles

Be yourself.
Don’t create fake profiles, use someone else’s photos, or mislead others about who you are.

Misinformation

Don’t share content that’s dangerously false, misleading, or promotes conspiracy theories—especially around health, safety, or elections.

Violence & Threats

We do not tolerate:

• Threats or glorification of violence

• Content related to weapons or physical harm

• Any form of stalking, trafficking, or sexual violence

Sexual Harassment

Unwanted sexual behavior of any kind is not allowed.
This includes:

• Sending unsolicited sexual messages or images (cyberflashing)

• Sharing or threatening to share intimate content

• Fetishization or sexual objectification

Spam & Platform Misuse

We’re here for real connections, not bots or spam.
No:

• Mass messaging, link-spamming, or fake profiles

• Multiple accounts for deceptive behavior

• Use of scripts or automations to manipulate interactions

Self-Harm & Mental Health

We encourage open, respectful discussion about mental health.
However, we do not allow content that promotes or glorifies:

• Suicide

• Self-harm

• Disordered eating

AI Use & Manipulation

Matchia uses AI to enhance your experience, but that doesn’t mean you can game the system.
We don’t allow:

• Tools that fake interactions (like chatbots or scraping)

• Attempts to manipulate Mia’s behavior for harm or deceit

• Any automation that interacts with other users or profiles

Safety First

If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or disrespected, report them immediately.
You can also block or unmatch at any time.

False reports are taken seriously—targeting someone because of their identity or for personal disagreements can lead to penalties on your account.

Enforcement & Off-Platform Behavior

Violating these guidelines may result in:

• Content removal

• Warnings or temporary restrictions

• Permanent bans from Matchia

Matchia may take action on behavior that happens off-platform, especially if it harms or endangers others in real life. We may cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
